The Structure of the Forest | 森という構造
A forest is a place where diverse forms of life coexist while remaining in constant transformation.
Trees continue to grow, leaves fall and return to the soil, and from that soil, new sprouts emerge once again.Within the forest, endings and beginnings do not exist separately, but breathe together within a single cycle.
Each living being may appear to exist independently, yet all are connected through invisible relationships — light, water, wind, and soil.
A forest is therefore a fluid structure, sustained through the countless interactions and influences of innumerable forms of existence.
森は、多様な生命が共存しながら、絶えず変化を続ける場です。
木々は伸び、葉は落ち、土へ還り、そこから再び新たな芽が生まれていきます。

Life and death, creation and dissolution, encounters and separations — nothing exists as something fixed, but rather within an unceasing flow of change.In Samsara Forest, the forest is not depicted merely as a natural landscape.
It becomes a symbolic form through which the very structure of cyclical life and the world itself is layered and revealed.Branching lines, repeating forms, overlapping layers, and the shifting interplay of light and shadow —
all of these are traces of relationships in constant transformation.The forest is a place where life emerges, intersects, disappears, and reappears once again.

生と死、生成と消滅、出会いと別れ――あらゆるものは固定された存在ではなく、絶え間ない変化の流れの中にあります。

Geometry and Fluctuation | 幾何学と揺らぎ
The geometric structures that appear within the work suggest the presence of order and underlying principles.
Repeating forms, symmetry, and rhythmic compositions quietly reveal the invisible structures that exist beneath the surface of the world.At the same time, the bleeding of sumi ink, the wavering of lines, and the textures inherent to the materials themselves contain elements of unpredictability and uncontrollable change.
Within them, slight deviations and uncertainties are always present.The world is not sustained by perfect order alone, nor does it exist through chaos alone.
The reality of life emerges where structure and fluctuation intersect.In Samsara Forest, geometric structures and organic transformations overlap with one another, expressing a world that is continuously shifting and evolving.
作品の中に現れる幾何学的な構造は、秩序や法則性の存在を示しています。
反復する形態や対称性、一定のリズムを持つ構成は、世界の背後にある見えない構造を静かに浮かび上がらせます。
一方で、墨のにじみや線の揺らぎ、素材そのものが持つ質感には、制御しきれない変化や偶然性が含まれています。
そこには、常にわずかなずれや不確かさが存在しています。
世界は、完全な秩序だけによって成り立っているわけでも、無秩序だけによって存在しているわけでもありません。
規則性と揺らぎ、その両方が交差するところに、生命の現実があります。

To See the Unseen | 見えないものを見るために
Within the forest, roots are connected beneath the earth, wind moves through the leaves, and light shifts its angle over time as it filters into the space.
What we perceive with our eyes is only a fragment of these phenomena.In unseen places, countless relationships and flows continuously intersect, quietly shaping the world.
The act of creating is not simply about depicting visible forms, but also an attempt to touch the structures and presences operating beneath them, and to make those invisible forces perceptible.
Geometric repetition, overlapping lines, material textures, and the bleeding of sumi ink —
all emerge as traces of relationships that cannot be directly seen.Samsara Forest is therefore not a work intended to reproduce a landscape itself, but a device for reflecting the invisible connections and cycles that exist within the deeper layers of the world.

What this forest reveals is not only the natural world that extends outward before us.
Within ourselves, there also exists another forest — one where memory, emotion, thought, and the unconscious intertwine in complex ways.There, traces of the past and fragments of sensation overlap in layers, continuously shifting and transforming, sometimes through uncertainty and wandering.
Human beings move within cycles, at times losing sight of the light, yet deep within, new paths and relationships continue to quietly emerge.
Samsara Forest is therefore not merely an expression of landscape, but a place where the structures of the world and the inner landscape of human existence converge.
It is both a reflection of a world in constant transformation and a forest that mirrors ourselves.
