2026年8月30日、初の著書となるアーティストブック『森が教えてくれた幾何学』を刊行いたしました。
本書は、自然の中に見られる幾何学的な構造やリズムを手がかりに、これまでの観察と制作を通して考えてきたことをまとめたものです。
森の木々や葉脈、光と影、音や振動。自然を観察していると、一見異なるものの中に、繰り返し現れる形や関係性があることに気づきます。
枝分かれする樹木や葉脈、広がりと収縮、生成と変化。自然のかたちは静止したものではなく、さまざまな循環の中で絶えず変化しています。
そして、目に見える形の背後には、それを生み出す関係や秩序があります。
本書では、フラクタルや幾何学的な構造、音や振動によって生まれるパターンなどを手がかりに、目に見える世界と、その背後にある目には見えない構造との関係について考察しています。可視と不可視は切り離されたものではなく、互いに関係しながら、一つの世界を形づくっています。
生まれ、成長し、変化し、やがて別のかたちへと移り変わる。自然を観察する中で見えてきたのは、あらゆるものが孤立して存在するのではなく、さまざまな関係の中で循環しながらつながっているということでした。
こうした観察と思考は、「幾何学刺繍＋墨アート」の制作へとつながっています。
本書では、長く制作を続けている《Samsara Forest（サムサラの森）》や《Arachne（アラクネ）》をはじめとする作品とともに、その背景にある自然観察や制作の思考についても紹介しています。
自然を見ることと、作品をつくること。
その二つの間を行き来しながら見えてきた、形、構造、関係、そして循環について、一冊の本としてまとめました。
本書は前半日本語・後半英語の二言語で構成された全294ページの電子書籍です。自然観察から生まれた文章と作品、写真を通して、自然の中に見られる構造や循環、可視と不可視の関係を一冊にまとめています。

On August 30, 2026, I published my first artist book, Geometry Taught by the Forest.
This book brings together ideas that have gradually developed through my observations of nature and my artistic practice, with a focus on the geometric structures and rhythms found in the natural world.
Trees and leaf veins, light and shadow, sound and vibration. Through observing nature, I began to notice recurring forms and relationships within things that may at first appear entirely different.
Branching trees and veins, expansion and contraction, growth and transformation—forms in nature are never truly static. They are constantly changing within cycles. Behind the forms we can see are relationships and underlying structures that shape their emergence.
Through fractals, geometric structures, and patterns created by sound and vibration, the book explores the relationship between the visible world and the invisible structures that lie behind it.
The visible and the invisible are not separate. They exist in relation to one another, together shaping the world we experience.
Things emerge, grow, change, and eventually take on other forms. Through observing nature, I came to see that nothing exists entirely in isolation; everything is connected through relationships and cycles of continual change.
These observations and ideas have become an important foundation for my practice of Geometric Embroidery + Sumi Ink Art.
The book also introduces works from my ongoing series, including Samsara Forest and Arachne, together with the observations of nature and ideas that have informed their development. Observing nature and creating art.
Moving between these two practices has gradually revealed connections between form, structure, relationships, and cycles. This book brings those observations and ideas together in one volume.
This 294-page digital book is presented in two languages, with the Japanese edition in the first half and the English edition in the second half. Through writings, artworks, and photographs developed from observations of nature, the book brings together ideas about structure, cycles, and the relationship between the visible and the invisible.
