《火焔 HIEN IV》では、深紅の空間に広がる蜘蛛の巣を描き、その傍らに光に包まれた蝶と揺らめく炎を配しました。
蜘蛛の巣は罠ではなく、存在を結びつける秩序や見えない繋がりの象徴として表しました。
蝶は儚い魂を映す存在として、燃え立つ赤の空間に漂い、「生と死」「束縛と自由」「燃焼と静謐」といった対照を抱えています。
深紅の色彩は生命の力強さを、巣と蝶はその脆さを示し、全体を象徴主義的な抽象表現へと昇華しました。
本作をもとに制作した映像では、絵画とは異なるかたちでこの世界を体感いただけると思います。
In HIEN IV, I depict a spider’s web expanding across a crimson space, with butterflies enclosed in spheres of light and flame-like forms flickering in the background.The web is not a trap, but a symbol of order and invisible connections.The butterflies, fragile and soul-like, drift within the red field, embodying contrasts such as “life and death,” “bondage and freedom,” and “combustion and stillness.”The crimson palette conveys the strength of life, while the web and butterflies reveal its transience, transforming the composition into a symbolist abstraction.
A video based on this work offers another way to experience its world, extending beyond the still image of the painting.
