今年の干支である辰年は、激動・革新の年と言い伝えられていますが、元旦に発生した能登半島地震の被災地域では未だ復旧の目処すら付きません。繰り返される政治不信の中、7月には東京都知事選、11月にはアメリカの大統領選が控えています。また、インボイス制度や紙の保険証の廃止など、急速なデジタル化の波にのまれないよう、時代の変化に立ち向かう日々です。そしてまた、ウクライナやパレスチナでの惨劇は、世界中に不安を与え続けています。このような波乱の時代にアートはどのような意義があり、作家たちは作品を通して何をメッセージするのでしょうか。そこで、本年の美術の窓9月号では、どうしてアートが人の心を動かすのか、という本質に立ち返り、作家が作品に込めた「内に秘めた想い」に注目します(以下省略）―――――というような特集内容です。
The year of the dragon, the Chinese zodiac sign for this year, is said to be a year of upheaval and innovation, but there is still not even a prospect for recovery in the areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on New Year’s Day. Amidst repeated political distrust, the election of the Governor of Tokyo in July and the presidential election of USA in November are coming up. In addition, we are facing the changing times, such as the invoice system and the abolition of paper insurance cards, so as not to be caught up in the rapid wave of digitization. The tragedies in Ukraine and Palestine continue to cause anxiety throughout the world. What is the significance of art in these turbulent times, and what message do artists wish to convey through their works? In this year’s September issue of ”Bijutsu no Mado (Window on the Arts)”, we will return to the essence of why art moves people’s hearts and focus on the “inner thoughts” that artists put into their works (the following is omitted)—- —This is the content of the special issue called.
