【かたちを刺すということ ─ 手仕事がもたらす、内なる変容】
針を持ち、糸を刺す。その所作は、外から見ればただの静かな手の作業にすぎないかもしれません。
けれど幾何学模様を刺しているとき、内側では確かに何かが整い、変わっていくのを感じます。針が布を通るたびに呼吸は深まり、思考は鎮まっていく。一定のリズムで「かたち」をなぞる時間は、内なる混沌に静けさをもたらすようです。
それは「作品を完成させるための作業」ではなく、自分の内面と向き合うための対話。布の上にかたちが現れるとともに、自分の中にも言葉にはならない“なにか”が浮かび上がってきます。
【かたちが導く、内なる秩序】
幾何学模様の魅力のひとつは、自由と秩序のあいだに生まれる「間」です。すべてが完璧に揃うわけではなく、わずかなずれや歪みが現れるたびに、そこには生命の息づかいが宿ります。その小さな「間」は、私たちが「完璧」ではなく「生きている」ことを、やさしく肯定してくれるようです。
針を進め、一針一針を重ねるうちに、心のざわめきがほどけていきます。あいまいだった輪郭が、模様とともに少しずつ整っていく。幾何学とは、内面に秩序をもたらす精神の設計図のような存在なのかもしれません。
【手を動かすことで、心は今に還る】
手仕事には、過去や未来から意識を解き放ち、「今、この瞬間」へと心を戻してくれる力があります。針を進めているとき、私は余計なことを考えていません。
それは瞑想にも似ていますが、もっと身体的で素朴な行為です。創作とはつまり、「心を鎮める手の祈り」。幾何学を刺すことは、見えない心の景色を調律するためのひとつの方法なのだと感じています。
そして制作の最中、無の状態に入ったとき、ふとコトバが浮かび、それが詩となることもあります。
【針が描く、静かな対話】
それは誰かに見せるためというよりも、作り手が自分自身と向き合うための行為です。針を動かす過程で生まれる「かたち」は、やがて見る人の心に静かに触れることもあるでしょう。
言葉では伝えきれない領域にまで、手のリズムは穏やかに届いていく。
その力は、幾何学を刺す営みだけでなく、あらゆる芸術活動にも息づいているのだと思います。

【On Stitching Forms — The Inner Transformation Brought by Handwork】
Holding the needle, guiding the thread.
From the outside, such gestures may appear to be nothing more than quiet handwork.
Yet when stitching geometric patterns, I can feel something within me align, shift, and transform.With every pass of the needle through the fabric, the breath deepens and the mind grows still.
The time spent tracing “forms” in a steady rhythm seems to bring calm into the inner chaos.It is not merely “work to complete a piece,” but a dialogue with the self.
As the forms emerge upon the cloth, something unspeakable also rises to the surface within me.
【The Inner Order Guided by Forms】
One of the fascinations of geometric patterns lies in the “interval” born between freedom and order.
Not everything aligns in perfect symmetry; with each slight deviation or distortion, a breath of life emerges.
These small intervals seem to gently affirm that we are not “perfect,” but rather, “alive.”As the needle moves forward, stitch by stitch, the restlessness within begins to unravel.
Blurred contours slowly take shape alongside the unfolding patterns.
Perhaps geometry itself is like a blueprint of the spirit—bringing inner order into being.
【Through the movement of the hands, the heart returns to the present】
Handwork has the power to release the mind from the past or the future and bring it back to “this very moment.”
When the needle moves forward, I am not thinking of anything unnecessary—only the resonance of the thread, the texture of the fabric, and the motion through which form emerges.It is akin to meditation, yet more bodily, more humble in its gesture.
Creation, in essence, is “a prayer of the hands that quiets the heart.”
To stitch geometry is, I feel, a way of tuning the unseen landscapes of the mind.
And in the midst of creation, when I enter a state of emptiness, words sometimes surface—becoming poetry.
【A Quiet Dialogue Drawn by the Needle】
It is less an act meant to be shown to others, and more a way for the maker to face themselves.
The “forms” born through the movement of the needle may, in time, quietly touch the hearts of those who behold them.The rhythm of the hands gently reaches into realms beyond what words can convey.
I believe that this power resides not only in the act of stitching geometry, but also in all forms of artistic expression.
