——————————————————————————————————————————————————–フランスとアメリカでの約8年間の海外生活のなかで、改めて日本美術のもつ繊細で深遠な美に魅了された。

とりわけ岩絵の具や墨、和紙などの天然素材からなる画材の美しさに魅せられ、自己表現の媒体としての相性の良さを予感し現在に至る。 宇宙、自然、動植物や昆虫などを象徴的に表現することで哲学的含意や時代の心情を伝達するスタイルを特徴としている。

 

After spending about eight years living abroad in France and the United States, I was once again fascinated by the delicate and profound beauty of Japanese art. In particular, I was fascinated by the beauty of natural materials such as mineral pigments, ink, and Japanese paper, and I have foresaw the good compatibility as a medium of self-expression until now. It features a style that conveys philosophical connotations and emotions of the times by symbolizing the universe, nature, flora and fauna and insects.
